Brainstormed Ideas:
Our first idea was a simple ramp on wheels that could be slid over the stairs up to the patio. We knew that the ramp had to be made of a material that would create enough traction, so that wheelchairs could be rolled up. We soon realized that this system would be inefficient, and not a workable solution for a community garden.
Our second and current idea involves a ramp in which one side is connected to the main body of the ramp with hinges, and was placed on wheels that are perpendicular to the sides of the ramp, so that it can be moved left and right as opposed to forwards and backwards.
